PHILADELPHIA

Graham Partners is pleased to announce its acquisition of Scandia Plastics (“Scandia” or the “Company”). Headquartered in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Scandia is a leading manufacturer of blow molded bottles, containers, and light industrial parts. The Company’s products are sold into a variety of end markets, including medical diagnostics, healthcare, household and industrial chemical, and general packaging.

Graham Partners is a private investment firm focused on investing in businesses with advanced manufacturing know-how, innovative product development capabilities, and strong growth potential. In Scandia’s case, significant industry consolidation has created an addressable gap within blow molded plastic packaging, providing significant growth opportunities. The investment thesis for Scandia is predicated upon maintaining the Company’s core competencies of quality, technical design, and customer service, and leveraging the extensive packaging experience of Graham Partners to reinforce these strengths.

Scandia joins an established alliance of Graham Partners holdings, which participate in industries as diverse as aerospace, medical products, packaging, water management, building products, electronics, and wireless communications devices, among others. Graham Partners seeks to invest not only capital into these businesses, but also to utilize its longstanding industry knowledge, resources, and contacts to improve operations and promote organic growth.

“As a family owned and operated business for over 30 years, we felt finding a partner with expertise in the plastics packaging industry was important to our continued success. Graham Partners was the ideal choice,” said Lars Graff, CEO of Scandia Plastics.

“Scandia’s strong quality and technical capabilities are key strengths of the business,” stated Adam Piatkowski, Managing Principal at Graham Partners. “We anticipate considerable growth and look forward to utilizing Graham’s industry knowledge to build upon Scandia’s strong capabilities, while maintaining the Company’s unrelenting focus on quality and technical excellence.”
