Joe joined Graham Partners in 1992. Joe, along with the other Managing Principals, shares responsibility for all major aspects of Graham Partners’ investment process, including investment sourcing, structuring, and exiting, as well as working closely with portfolio companies to build lasting value. Additionally, Joe co-heads the firm’s deal sourcing efforts. He also serves on Graham Partners’ Investment Committee.
Joe has coverage responsibility for the advanced building materials sector. His past and present board directorships include Atlas, Eldorado, Exteria, IXS, Mitten, and NDS.
Prior to the formation of Graham I, Joe was integrally involved with corporate development activities relating to operating interests held by entities associated with The Graham Group – working on M&A transactions completed in France, Canada, the United Kingdom, Poland, Brazil, and Argentina, as well as major financings and the divestiture of a controlling interest in Graham Packaging Company to Blackstone.
Prior to joining Graham Partners, Joe worked for Murray, Devine & Company and for Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in its Management Consulting and Bankruptcy & Reorganization Practices. Previous to Price Waterhouse, he worked for the DuPont Company in its Finance Department.
Joe earned his B.S. from Drexel University, and his M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
A native of the Philadelphia area, Joe enjoys spending time with his family and playing and coaching soccer when not working. While at Drexel University, Joe played on its Division I soccer team and received all East Coast Conference honors.
