New Seasoning Acquisition Completed for Specialty Culinary Ingredients Platform
Graham Partners (“Graham”), a private investment firm targeting advanced manufacturing companies, is pleased to announce that one of its portfolio companies, Woodland Gourmet (“Woodland”), a provider of specialty culinary ingredients and solutions, has acquired International Spices, a developer of custom seasoning blends designed to elevate the flavor profile of snacks and meals. International Spices expands Woodland’s offerings with a robust product portfolio, ranging from spicy blends used in popular chicken sandwiches and mozzarella stick coatings to signature wing seasonings and sauce mixes. Building upon the recent acquisitions of Idan Foods (April 2024) and Sevillo Fine Foods (March 2025), Woodland continues to enhance its culinary capabilities and strengthen its position in key growth markets
International Spices brings an impressive track record of flavor innovation and technical expertise to the Woodland platform, with a focus on customized seasoning systems and ingredient blends for protein, snack, and sauce applications. Serving a diverse customer base that spans industrial processors, foodservice chains, and co-manufacturers, International Spices broadens Woodland’s reach across high-growth segments and strengthens its position as a full-service culinary solutions provider. International Spices’ ability to rapidly develop and deliver tailored flavor profiles has established the company as a creative, client-focused custom ingredient provider, which Graham believes fits well with Woodland’s commitment to culinary excellence.
International Spices aligns with the same consumer trends from which Woodland already benefits: growing preferences for global flavors, plant-based / better-for-you foods, and step-saving ingredients. International Spices supports its customers in delivering innovative and differentiated products to consumers who are continuing to demand bolder and more adventurous flavors through unique spice combinations. Additionally, Graham believes the company’s high-margin, custom-blend model fosters sticky customer relationships that will drive continued growth. Andrew Snyder, Managing Partner at Graham Partners, said, “The acquisition of International Spices adds an attractive product portfolio to Woodland’s current offerings, and we believe it will strengthen the company’s ability to deliver value-add, customized solutions to customers.” Kedar Shirole, Vice President at Graham Partners, added, “We’re excited to bring together two businesses that share a passion for flavor innovation in collaboration with their customers. We believe this combination further positions Woodland as a go-to partner for customized culinary solutions across the food industry.”
Since its founding in 1989, Woodland Gourmet, formerly Woodland Foods, has been a trusted source of culinary inspiration, deeply rooted in global flavor knowledge and exploration of specialty and dry ingredients. With a passion for innovation, partnership with customers to craft custom solutions, responsible ingredient sourcing, and operational excellence, Woodland Gourmet cultivates lasting partnerships through collaborative efforts that cater to the diverse needs of their foodservice, industrial, and retail customers.
